The report indicates that Austin had the country's 3rd fastest job growth rate between 2005 and 2010. In other words, the area gained the most jobs based on similar cities throughout the nation. Where are the Austin jobs?

According to Mayor Lee Leffing, the city is working hard to bring in good jobs for Austin. He is quoted as saying, "Clean energy, new media, technology and life sciences are all areas that are experiencing rapid growth, and we have a number of companies in Austin who specialize in those areas."
